Our agriculture and skills training center is located just over an hour’s drive from Lomé. Some of the tasks you will undertake include: crop growing, animal care, teaching, planning, research, communications, land management and organizing school trips to the farm to educate local children. Get involved in educating local communities and promoting sustainable organic farming. Every year we welcome volunteers, students and working professionals looking for short term and long term volunteering abroad opportunities. Local agronomy students and consultant’s work together with volunteers to implement different innovative and environmentally friendly techniques, volunteers and staff teams usually work in shifts on the farm. * Please note that our agriculture project is in its early stages and is usually combined with literacy, care, sports coaching and building projects.
Organic methods: Kailend implements fully Organic systems and there are no chemicals used on the farm.
Certifications: Songhai Sustainable farming
Current projects: ORGANIC AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION
Production and processing of high quality organic agricultural crops made available for sale at affordable rates. We then reinvest the profits from sales into vocational training opportunities, scholarships, donations and seed funding for youths, low income earning mothers and their children, orphanages and cooperatives. This allows us to contribute towards tackling social and environmental problems and to improve people's living conditions.
Our West Africa regional headquarters is located in Agou, Kloto, Togo. Here we integrate organic production, processing, animal husbandry, training, bio-energy, research, land management, waste recycling and organizing school trips to educate local children and promote sustainable organic farming methods.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING & SCHOLARSHIPS
Many urban and rural children come from families in need of additional educational support and in some cases, at risk youth arrive in new cities alone as a result of conflict, trafficking or economic hardship. Kailend believes that every child should be seen and heard and that every child deserves an opportunity to strive for their goals.
Our skills training and scholarship program engages and sponsors rural and inner city children and adults to get involved in and commit to going back to school, computing, agriculture, wood works, scholarships amongst various types of other vocational training programs.
LOW INCOME EARNING WOMEN'S SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Women in Africa are not less capable of achieving economic success than men, but they are more likely to encounter circumstances, norms and laws that limit their full economic participation. Research suggests that when a woman’s economic status improves, so does that of her household, her community and, potentially, her country.
Kailend's low income earning women's socio-economic development project was launched to empower low income earning women and cooperatives by providing vocational training, cash transfers, tools and other necessary resources to enable them to run their own sustainable trade.

I had a tremendously good experience at Kailend. It’s an inspirational project that needs a hand. Sammy the Manager has created a beautiful farm over ten years and he is very open to new energy and ideas. My 3 co workers became my 3 young sons and I had the best time being with them, naturally off-grid for the week. Hoping to return.
